Characteristics
Plants
9-14 cm high, erect, not entangled, a little harsh to the touch, attached
to the substratum by irregularly shaped holfast with rhizoids, thallus
branched dichotomously; segments without midrib, 1 to 1.5 cm long,
2 - 4 mm broad above a fork, broadening to 6 - 10 mm below the next
fork; margin entire, tips are pointed except in young branches. Sporangia
125 - 140 µ in diameter.
